One — auto-DMs

Two — automatic “ thank you for following ” or “ thank you for being my most engaged community member ” mentions

Three — using software to automatically find articles for you to schedule in Buffer or Hootsuite as part of a “ curation ” strategy.

Four- Sniffing every thought-fart produced by “ thought leaders in your niche ”

Five- measuring success / making decisions based on vanity metrics like # of followers, likes, &a re-tweets

Six — the image + quote formula

Seven — the “ follow-follow back ” Growth method

Eight- Using software to automatically follow people, or get people to follow you

Nine — Not fully disclosing to your audience when you are paid for any type of affiliation or sponsorship.

Ten — Buying followers / any type of engagement

There’s going to be several “ influencers” who made their bones off of these strategies 5 years ago, and will try to sell you some masterclass that teaches you how to use these tactics. DON’T FALL FOR IT. Twitter of 2017 is not Twitter of 2012.
