Intention, Invictus, And The Power of Poetry: An INBOUND Story
There is a thread that connects the most impactful moments of our lives, making up the fabric of our souls. We feel this thread weaving through each significant moment, but we rarely recognize it for what it is. It often manifests as a chill down your spine or the sensation of feeling like your breath is taken away.
On the rarest of occasions, you can see the golden shimmer of this thread as it passes fleetingly through a nanosecond, dancing and dashing like a Golden Snitch. My last-minute decision to attend INBOUND 2021, HubSpot's annual conference, which was all virtual this year, was one of those moments.
HubSpot's conference, which I believe just wrapped up its 10th year, is lovingly referred to as Disneyland for marketers. They had some AMAZING keynote speakers for their spotlight sessions, culminating with none other than f*cking OPRAH. So that should give you some context into how big of a conference this is within my industry.
I have so so SO many amazing things to say about those three days, but that is for another article. This article is about Oprah’s session. 6:10 PM EST on Thursday, October 14th, the end of Oprah’s keynote, is when I saw the thread shimmer in the glow of my computer screen.
